I have been thinking about this blog and how to better use it- more importantly what types of post I enjoying doing most. While the occasional fashion rant is great, I really enjoy doing outfit posts. I have never considered myself a "style blogger" even though this blog revolves around my life in fashion design, but I think I would like to do more in the area of style posts. Hopefully that's not too boring for you cats. I will try to keep it spicy. I am making some layout changes too, so don't be surprised if you see somethings moving around.
I hope there's a few New Order fans that read this blog. My love for them goes way back to Soph\Junior year of high school when discovered a local goth\industrial club that became a refuge for me called the Fine Line. It was a ritual for me and my friends, every weekend we'd danced to Siouxsie, Moz, DM, and The Cure while our peers were off singing Sublime songs at a kegger somewhere in the Tucson desert. We stayed snug in our little dark corner of the world and laughed while smoking cloves and discussing how we were born in the wrong decade, why Daria was the greatest cartoon to grace cable television, and guessing what sort of drugs the spazz on the dance floor was on. This is pretty much the outfit I wish I had when frequenting the Fine Line, except I would have worn Mary Jane platforms- my old lady feet can't take that shit anymore lol.
I can not tell you how weird and fun it is to see fashions from my teens cycle back in new ways. I am astonished by some of it, but also secretly delighted. Oh, and I got a new wiggy to start off the new year. I am totally addicted.
